Complete Samsung Smart TV Setup Guide – Updated May 2026

Step-by-Step Instructions
 

  1. Initial Power On Plug in the TV and turn it on. Follow the welcome prompts.

  2. Language & Region Select language, country, and time zone.

  3. Connect to Wi-Fi Go to Settings → General → Network → Wi-Fi and connect to your network.

  4. Samsung Account Login (Recommended) Sign in or create a Samsung account for better features and app access.

  5. Software Update Go to Settings → Support → Software Update → Update Now.

  6. Install & Activate Apps Press Home button → Go to Apps → Search for Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc. → Install → Sign in.
     

Common Fixes
 

  • Apps crashing → Clear cache: Settings → Apps → Select app → Clear cache.

  • Slow performance → Restart TV (unplug for 60 seconds).
