Introduction Follow these steps to set up your Roku streaming player or Roku TV from scratch.

Step-by-Step Instructions
 

  1. Unbox and Connect Plug your Roku device into an HDMI port on your TV. Connect the power adapter to a wall outlet.

  2. Power On Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input. The Roku welcome screen appears.

  3. Pair the Remote (if needed) Insert batteries and follow on-screen prompts. Hold the pairing button if required.

  4. Choose Language & Country Select your preferred language and country.

  5. Connect to Wi-Fi Select your wireless network, enter the password, and connect. The device may download software updates.

  6. Activate Your Roku A unique activation code appears on screen. On your phone or computer, go to roku.com/link. Sign in or create a Roku account and enter the code.

  7. Complete Setup Add streaming channels/apps and start watching.
     

Common Issues & Fixes
 

  • Code not working → Restart device and try again.

  • Wi-Fi connection fails → Move closer to router or restart router.

  • Activation email issues → Check spam folder.
